ANDREW BORNTREGER BAGS UMA SPORTSMAN WIN AT DRP

Wisconsin Dells WI-Andrew Borntreger closes the Championship gap with a win in the UMA Sportsman on R&R Doors Night at the Races. Starting from inside row 3 Borntreger would blitz forward dispatching the front of the field in short order to gain the lead and start to run away. A late race caution would set the stage for a showdown featuring Borntreger and Chris Weber. On the restart Borntreger picked up right where he left off driving away from the 97 into Victory lane. Bortreger would be followed to the line by Weber, Dave Trute, Chad Smith, and Tommy Moore. Dave True was Fast Qualifier with a lap of 14.852. The Diamond Racing Wheels Fast Dash was won by Chad Smith with the heat race being won by Charles Vian Jr. Only one night remains in the fight for the 2024 Sportsman Championship with Dave Trute clinging to a 21 point lead over Andrew Borntreger. The UMA Sportsman return to Dells Raceway Park September 7th for O’reilly Auto Parts Championship Night.
