Brogan Carder
Weekend Update From Our First Races In the 410!!!
The 410 journey is officially underway!! This past weekend saw us racing with the POWERi 410 series at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo. This was Brogan’s first 2 races with the new car and we had a couple of really simple goals. Get laps, work on consistency and load the car up in one piece…all 3 goals were accomplished and we all had a great time! Saturday night saw Brogan qualify 24th of 27 cars which gave him a starting spot of 8 in the 3rd heat. He tagged the back of the heat and ended up finishing 8th which gave him a starting spot in the B main. Once again he tagged the rear which is where he finished…..he finished on the lead lap of both races and ran consistent lines throughout the evening. Sunday night saw a qualifying effort of 18th out of 26. Heat race and A main were pretty much the same stories, nothing crazy just logging laps and working on consistency! All in all the weekend was a success with Brogan showing the ability to hold a line, drive a tough track and run with traffic. We as a team understand that this is no small undertaking and have no grand illusions of doing nothing more than logging consistent laps and having fun at this point. Brogan is in charge of what and how we do what we do at this point, he fully understands that we would never ask him to do something that he isn’t comfortable with and that he has the last say on what direction our team moves. We are grateful to POWERi for giving us this opportunity and to all of the people and organizations that support us in so many ways! Next racing action for our team will be on 9/12, 9/13 and 9/14!! Thank you so much to everyone who showed up to the track last weekend and watched and cheered from afar! We appreciate all of you and feel blessed to have you all along for the ride!! Stay tuned for more updates as our story unfolds!
