Miller wins a Thriller in Southern Raceway Military Appectiation event
Milton, FL - Saturday, May 14th - Michael Miller from Vancleave, Mississippi captured the $2200 to win 30-lap USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters winged sprint car feature on Military Appreciation night at Southern Raceway on Saturday night.
After starting from the K&N Filters Pole Position Miller led every lap, but had serious challenges from Jacksonville, Florida's Mark Ruel, Jr. for 28 laps until two-time USCS National Champion Jordon Mallett from Greenbrier, Arkansas slipped under Ruel, Jr. to race under the checkers behind Miller. Mark Ruel got the last Podium spot in third place and Brit Ryan Harrison from North Hamptonshire, England followed in fourth place. 13-time USCS National Champion rounded out the top five.
Jordon Mallett won the Engler MChine and Tool First Heat. Mark Ruel, Jr. won the JJ Supply of North Carolina Second Heat.
Michael Miller won the all important Hoosier Speed Dash for top-six drivers who earned the most passing points in the heat races to determine the final front three rows of the main event.
Jacksonville, Florida's Terry Witherspoon advanced the most positions in the main event to garner the Wilwood Disc Brakes Hard Charger Award
