Dover Bound for I-80 Speedway, Off Road Speedway and Huset’s Speedway This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (Aug. 22, 2022) – Jack Dover returns to action this weekend with a tripleheader.

Dover plans to pilot his No. 53 sprint car on Friday at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., and Saturday at Off Road Speedway in Norfolk, Neb., with the Midwest Sprint Touring Series before climbing behind the wheel of the Chris and Rick Bowers’ No. 81 sprint car on Sunday at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D.

“I’ve had a lot of success at all of these tracks, but this year has been really tough so I’m not sure what to expect,” Dover said.

The lone triumph of the season came at I-80 Speedway in May. Dover has also been in contention for a victory at the track two other times this year before mechanical woes stymied a good result.

Dover has a fourth-place finish during his lone visit to Off Road Speedway this season.

“Off Road is one of those tracks you have to get up on the wheel and get after it,” he said. “That separates the men from the boys I guess you’d say. I hope the track is a lot better than it has been the last couple of years. The first couple of years we went there it was really racy. The last couple of years it has been follow the leader so I’m hoping for a racy track on Saturday.”

Dover wraps up the weekend on Sunday at Huset’s Speedway, where he ranks sixth in the championship standings – only one point out of the top five. He has a pair of top fives and eight top 10s, including three in a row, this season at the track.

“I’m always excited to get back to Huset’s and drive the No. 81,” he said. “When I was at Knoxville for the Nationals I had some people helping me with ride heights as far as 410s. I know they are totally different tracks, but I felt comfortable with the setup they gave me. Maybe we can take a little of what they taught me and transfer it over on Sunday.”
