Ty Giles taken out of Gene Maine Memorial at Needmore Speedway

Breaking out a new powerplant for the weekend, Ty Giles checked into Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) on Saturday afternoon for the Gene Maine Memorial.

With 15 604 Late Models on hand, Giles laid down the second-fastest lap in his group which earned him a front-row starting spot for the 30-lap feature. With a $3,201 payday on the line, Giles was spun on the first lap going into turn one. Being buried in the back of the pack, Ty called it a night early.
