Dietz Battles From Deep Starting Spot for Big Victory

Forty-five American All-Stars Signed in for the 14th Annual UBB Miners Memorial Event. An even that means so much to southern WV, we are honored to be a part of.

BHR Fabrication Qualifying Group A would start the night off. Trevor Sise blistered the track with a time of 14.536. Logan Walls had one of this best runs ever at Beckley turning a time of 14.568 and Logan Roberson took third in the first group with a time of 14.618. Double Nickle Race Cars Group B would see Zack Dohm take the overall fast time with a 14.352. AJ Hicks would go second fast with a time of 14.640 and Hayden Cardwell would round out the top three with a time of 14.722.

The ATC Bolts and Fasteners Dash saw Zack Dohm cruise to victory over Trevor Sise and AJ Hicks. Rick Hendrick City Chevrolet Heat 1 was an exciting event as Josh Dietz would take the win over Shane Greco and Jack Brown. Outside Groove Heat 2 saw Michael Bland grab the win over Henry Hornsby III and Daniel Dial. PPM Racing Products Heat 3 saw a career first and best run for Brandon Urban as he picked up his first All-Star Series heat race victory over Joey Love and Walker Arthur. American Racer Heat 4 went to Zach Sise who made an exciting move on the outside to get around Jake Henry who took second and the Rookie Sensation Nicholas Byrd who took third.

The Dirt Rich TV B-Main would see Joshua Chesney grab the win over Gunner Johnson who would take the second and final transfer position. Gasko Gaskets B-Main 2 went to 12 year old Beckham Malone over Billy Beachler. Provisonals for the night would be earned by Baillie Lowe and Jordan Hedger.

With the 100 lap feature field set for the UBB Miners Memorial competitors were ready to battle it out. Zack Dohm showed dominance early in the event. One long caution occured when Zach Sise's car became connected to Joey Love's engine. The track worked diligently to separate the cars while causing as little damage as possible. Sise was able to continue. Hard nosed racing and several cautions littered the first half of the race. At lap 50 and the halfway break some tempers flared on the track as drivers showed displeasure with one another during the 10 minute stop much to the fans pleasure. Dohm picked right back up with the lead until a tire coming off the bead ended his dominate performance on lap 61. At this point the 2022 Champion Hayden Cardwell went to the point and looked like he was going to run away and hide and grab the $15,000. Disaster struck on lap 96 of the event. As Cardwell was closing in on two cars at the tail end of the lead lap they came together collecting Cardwell and others in the collision. Second place running Josh Dietz was almost collected as well, but able to keep rolling on. With the field now reset and ready for the last four laps Dietz shot out to the lead chasing the $15,000. Hot on his heels were AJ Hicks and Shane Greco, both also wanting their piece of the piece of the pie. Dietz would hold on to get the biggest victory of his career. AJ Hicks would take second and Shane Greco third. From the B-Main Joshua Chesney would take fourth and Baillie Lowe who had to take a provisional would be the Hyperco Hard Charger taking 5th. Michael Bland would fight to a hard fought sixth place finish while Hayden Cardwell still managed a strong seventh place run. Logan Roberson, Billy Beachler, and Logan Walls would round out the top five.
