Cameron Weaver returned to the driver's seat of the Henderson Motorsports No. 10 Super Late Model on Saturday evening at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.).
Forty-four Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series Super Late Model racers entered the program at the 3/8-mile oval. Weaver registered the third-and-final transfer spot in his heat race, but unfortunately was disqualified from his transfer position in post-race inspection.
He utilized a series provisional to start 27th in the 50-lap feature, which posted a $15,000 top prize. Cameron struggled to make up ground in the field in the feature and retired from the event on the 23rd circuit and was credited with a 26th-place finish.
Weaver sits 16th in the latest series standings and second in the Rookie of the Year battle.
