Chamberlain shows speed in Prairie Dirt Classic with World of Outlaws
With the 34th-running of the Prairie Dirt Classic on the horizon, Tristan Chamberlain and the HW Gibson team checked into Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway early to compete with FloRacing Night in America on Wednesday evening.
With a stacked 65-car field on hand, Chamberlain moved from ninth-to-sixth in his heat race but fell backwards in his B-Main which caused him to miss the $20,000-to-win main event.
With the World of Outlaws sanctioning the remainder of the weekend, Chamberlain joined a huge 78-car field on Friday evening and stopped the clock fifth-quickest in his stacked group. Rolling off from the second-row in the third $5,000-to-win showdown feature, Tristan faded back but still managed to land a Top-10 finish in seventh.
Earning a prime position in his last chance showdown, Tristan battled hard for a transfer position but came up a couple spots short of making the main event. Chamberlain competed in the Prairie Dirt Shootout where he would finish 16th.
