MEMPHIS, Mo. (September 4, 2015) The Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region brought Sprint Cars back to the Scotland County Speedway for the first time since 2001 on Friday night with Sedalia’s Jonathan Cornell coming from fifth for his third Warrior Region win of the 2015 season.

Bringing his career win count to 25 with the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region, Cornell grabbed the lead on the fourth round after pole sitter, Corey Nelson, retired due to mechanical failure.

Never relinquishing the point, the Kiowa Line Builders No. 28 was chase to the line by sixth starting Wayne Johnson. Side-by-side at the line, Derek Hagar edged out Jay Russell for the bronze with Iowa’s John Schulz crossing fifth.

Austin Alumbaugh advanced to sixth from 10th with Cody Baker from 12th to seventh. Jon Agan was eight with Kyle Bellm ninth from 13th. Evan Martin completed the top-ten.

The Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region continues their Labor Day Weekend with the first of two nights at the Randolph County Raceway on Saturday, September 5. For continued updates on the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region, log onto http://www.ascsracing.com.
