Vanderheiden Works Through Tough Weekend At Eagle and Huset's
BRANDON, S.D. (July 11, 2023) A couple of tough outings the past two weekends, with the end of June marked with a DNF at U.S. 30 Speedway, Cole Vanderheiden's last venture behind the wheel ended up a two-night stretch at Eagle Raceway and Huset's Speedway, with both nights ending in a B-Feature.
On Cole's racing page, it stated, "Just not our weekend. Couldn’t make anything happen; loaded up to race another day. Will dig deep into the car this week and see if there are any issues we don’t know about."
Facing a 32-car field at Eagle Raceway on Saturday, July 8, the Copps Pizza Company No. 15v ended up seventh in the opening Heat Race. Putting him deep in the B-Feature, Cole picked up one spot to finish tenth.
On to Huset's Speedway on Sunday, July 9, the team faced a 28-car field and again struggled to move forward. Fifth in his Heat Race, Cole took the green in the B-Feature fourth but would slip back just outside of the transfer.
The team is set to return to Eagle and Huset's Speedway this weekend.
