Cole Vanderheiden Rolls To First Top Five Of 2023 At Huset’s Speedway
BRANDON, S.D. (May 23, 2023) Taking on Eagle Raceway and Huset’s Speedway this past weekend, Cole Vanderheiden capped his weekend with a fifth-place finish at the South Dakota oval.
Cole’s first top-five finish of 2023, the Copps Pizza Company / BradCo Companies No. 15v started his Huset’s run from ninth following a runner-up finish in his Heat Race. Racing around inside the top ten for most of the race, Cole began picking his way forward near the race’s midpoint. Reaching fourth on Lap 18, Cole made one small mistake the slipped back to fifth.
Looking back to the start of the weekend, the team was at Eagle Raceway on Saturday. A tough night for Vanderheiden; the evening ended with a sixth-place finish in the B-Feature.
Looking to this week, the team will be busy with four nights of racing on the horizon. Thursday, May 25, will be at U.S. 30 Speedway, followed by Eagle Raceway on Saturday, May 27. Two nights at Huset’s Speedway will occupy action on Sunday, May 28, and Monday, May 29.
