Bert Vosbergen to be inducted into Hall of Fame
2023 SSWA Hall of Fame Inductee – Bert Vosbergen
Speedway Sedans Western Australia is proud tonight to reveal the first of the six inductees into the inaugural class of the SSWA Hall of Fame, Bert Vosbergen!
‘Big Bad Bert’ as he has been known nation wide for the best part of five decades was a polarizing figure in Sedans, seen as a trailblazer for his innovations, but also highly decorated with many honours across his journey.
Starting in a HK Holden in the late 1960’s, Bert would move into both Grand Nationals and Super Sedans throughout the eighties and nineties, travelling across the Nation and winning multiple blue ribbon events, including State Titles in two States.
Bert was also a longtime contributor to Speedway at large, at one point fielding a four car Super Sedan team, utilizing all his connections to promote the racing he loved and serving behind the scenes to ensure the best possible outcome for the sport, so it is fitting that Bert is now to be honoured as part of the inaugural Hall of Fame class.
Bert Vosbergen is the first name to be announced as part of the 2023 SSWA Hall of Fame class and along with five others, will officially be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Saturday the 5th of August, 2023, so to be part of the celebrations, make sure you purchase your tickets at https://www.trybooking.com/CJION.
