KC Sparks joined the field of wing kart racers in the final point race of the indoor season at Emma Indoor Speedway. After getting clarification on the point system, Sparks had a chance to claim the title in the box stock class if he could finish one position ahead of Bentley Long.

Sparks drew the pole for the heat race and was able to lead flag to flag to take the win. Brogan Carder was running in second which would have put him on the pole with passing points, but a miscue in the turn spun his kart and he was sent to the tail for a restart. Long was able to move up from his fourth place starting position to earn passing points and earn the pole for the feature event.

The top two in points lined up side by side on the front row with Long having the advantage and lead at the end of the first circuit. Sparks was settled into second with Micah Haugan and Carder in the top of the running order. Caleb Haugan, the restricted box point champion, was running with the box stock drivers and was maintaining a close fifth to the field.

The field was running within a second of each other with Long opening up a 2 kart lead. On the third lap, Long missed the exit of turn two and Sparks pulled to the inside to drag race down the backstretch. The leaders arrived at turn three side by side but the inside lane proved to be the better track position. Long slid high into the loose dirt allowing Micah Haugan and Carder to move ahead into the podium positions on the track.

Sparks, Micah Haugan, and Carder raced in a tight battle up front for the remainder of the event. Carder would challenge Haugan and then the duo would close on the tail of Sparks. The top three drivers all ran DRE motors and were all equally competitive on the track.

When the checkered flag fell, Sparks claimed the win and clinched the 2021-2022 indoor season point championship. Micah Haugan finished a season high in second with Brogan Carder in third. Long finished in fourth in the feature and runner up in the season points. Caleb Haugan was fifth with everyone on the lead lap.
