Hagar Heading to USCS Fall Nationals This Weekend, Announces Two New Opportunities

Inside Line Promotions – MARION, Ark. (Nov. 10, 2015) – Derek Hagar is eagerly looking forward to spending this weekend at Riverside International Speedway.

Hagar is set to race on Friday and Saturday during the USCS Fall Nationals at the quarter-mile oval in West Memphis, Ark., where he has captured two wins this season.

“We feel very confident,” he said. “We’ll go into this race like we always do and do the best we can. We’ve had a good year and I think we can continue the success this weekend at Riverside.

“There’s different lines to run there. Some people are comfortable on the bottom and some on the top. I like running the top. It’s all about track position though. Hopefully the track won’t be heavy and you can move around and pass some cars.”

Hagar enters the weekend with 12 feature triumphs, including seven with the USCS Series. He also won the season finale at Riverside International Speedway last year.

“We’ve had pretty good success the last couple of years there,” he said. “They’ve changed the format up a bit. Now it’s one feature for $5,100 to win. It’s a two-day deal with heat races and a pole shuffle on Friday and the feature on Saturday so Saturday will be the slickest night after being run on on Friday. We’re pretty good at 50-lap races at Riverside so hopefully we can come out on top.”

Hagar is also excited to announce a pair of opportunities. He will pilot a sprint car for Hardy Maddox during the Top Gun Sprints season finale on Dec. 5 at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Fla.

Hagar will also return to midget competition when he will drive for Phil McGee during the 30th annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals at Tulsa Expo Raceway in Tulsa, Okla., Jan. 12-16.
