Las Vegas was a great time and also our first time out for the year. We completely rebuilt the car from rear bumper to front bumper. We invited a new person to come with us & since he did not have any experience with the car we gave him the "food winch" duties :). He did a fantastic job - Thanks Mark Garrow. I can't thank Frank Graceffa enough for his help. Thursday the 9th, hotlaps proved to be a handful, one item we did not inspect, front wheel bearings, they felt great and were not loose, so we left them alone, big mistake, RF wheel bearing came loose and caused quite the hickup. Ok, regroup and fix it and then - lets try this again, last out for qualifing, and as you can imagine a little reserve :). Car ran great, but still a little bit of a handful. Made some changes and now lets try the heat race. Car is much better and now I can start to get after it. B-main, car is way better and now I feel much better, we pass a couple of cars, but not enough to make the main, and to be completely truthful - I AM EXHAUSTED!! Time to wrap and head back to the hotel, regroup tomorrow.
The 10th proved to be better, but not good enough, car is running much better and the handling is better, but today - not enough changes to the setup and we just do not have a car to compete.
Time to review and then regroup and head to Hanford & Perris.
