The End of 2010
First and foremost, I want to thank Scotty Ensign & Steve Glau for all their hard work throughout the years of ups & downs. Every Tuesday evening for the last 7 years we get together to work on the car, tell jokes, play on the sim’s, have a little dinner and then go home to our very understanding wife’s. Thank you to Rose, Anne & of course my beautiful wife Connie, who on occasion will supply the dinner and Anne who will cook the delicious cookies for us.
Mel Murphy, thank you for helping us out of the woods! Through your patience and guidance, hopefully 2011 will be a banner year for us & Circle Track Performance, you’re the best Mel.
So, what does 2011 hold for us? With preparation, patience, hard work & a vision, we will be taking a little different approach to racing for the 2011 season. First, we will venture back to World of Outlaws racing along with the non-wing. We have enlisted the help of a few good people & with there help and lots of practice and of course, hopefully a few more “Marketing partners”, we will see a significant improvement in our program.
So, how did Saturday night go? Well, on a whole, not to bad, we just never got the car caught up to the track. So, no flipping, no crashing, no spinning out (although almost) & therefore loading the car up in one piece, more laps & Mel was not to mad at me – (I talked him out of installing a stick in the seat). We learned a little bit more and now we can get a head start on the 2011 season. Time to tear down, clean, prep, paint and reinstall & then photos & practice.
With all that, we say adios, good buy to the 2010 season and hello to 2011, we will see all of you at the track.
Remember – "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up and totally worn out, and loudly proclaim "WOW, what a ride"
