Top-10 finish in DJ Troutman Memorial opener at Bedford

On Friday afternoon, Drake Troutman visited Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pa.) as the track hosted a two-day event honoring his late father.

With a stout field of 47 Modifieds packed into the pit area, Troutman secured his spot into the opening night feature with a second-place finish in his heat race. With $12,000 on the line, Drake ran as high as fourth but faded late in the 39-lap affair to register a seventh-place finish.

For the second round of the D.J. Troutman Memorial on Saturday, Drake followed up a heat race win with a dash victory. Earning the pole position for the $12,000-to-win finale, Troutman was running in second when he suffered rear-end issues, ending his night on lap 22.
