Troutman competes with LOLMDS at BRP and All-Tech
Drake Troutman broke out his RFI Resources No. 7 Super Late Model on Monday afternoon at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Fla.) to compete with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) for the two-day K&N Filters Winternationals. In a field of 46 cars, Drake recorded a sixth-place finish in his heat, sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature. After taking part in hot laps on Tuesday, Troutman was a scratch from the remainder of the evening due to driveshaft issues.
Returning to action on Thursday at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) for the General Tire Winter Nationals, Drake missed a transfer spot by two positions in his heat, relegating him into the B-Main. Needing to place third or better, Troutman recorded a fourth-place finish.
For the finale on Saturday after Mother Nature axed Friday’s program, Troutman came in sixth in his heat, giving him one final shot at the $15,000-to-win A-Main with a B-Main appearance. Locking in the Top 3, Drake fell one spot why with a fourth-place outing.
