Parker Price-Miller Charges From 18th-5th As Destiny Motorsports Readies for Ohio Speedweek

PC- Zack Barber

PETERSEN MEDIA: Destiny Motorsports is quickly developing a never give up attitude. Sunday night at Weedsport Speedway, a vicious crash in time trials left the team with a torn up racecar and put them in an early hole but they were able to rebound nicely and charge from 18th to finish fifth in the final race before Ohio Speedweek.

“Right now we have confidence as a team, and heading into a tough week I think that is huge,” Parker Price-Miller said. “No matter where we start in the feature event, my guys have the confidence in me, and I have the confidence in them that we are going to be a threat at the end of the race.”

Though the three-race swing in New York got off to a tough start with the team losing an engine while running second at Outlaw Speedway on Friday night, Saturday saw Price-Miller time the MonDak Portables/Ft. Union Supply and Trading/Townline Variety backed No. 4 machine in fourth quickest in his time trial group at Stateline Speedway.

Lining up on the front row of his heat race, the Kokomo, IN native would finish fourth and find himself in the fifth row for the start of the 30-lap feature event.

From his ninth starting position, Price-Miller would battle with the likes of Dave Blaney and Danny Dietrich as passing would prove to be tough at times on the racing surface.

Keeping his machine inside the Top-10 all race long, PPM would close the night out with his 20th Top-10 finish of the 2018 season.

Sunday the team would follow the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions pres. by Mobil1 to Weedsport Speedway for one final race before the upcoming grueling week known as Ohio Speedweek.

Getting upside-down violently in time trials, the Destiny Motorsports team, with the help of many others, would thrash in the work area to get a time in though they would find themselves in a very early hole.

Gridding the field from the 10th starting spot in heat race action, Price-Miller would do a great job of starting the salvaging process as he raced his way to a sixth place finish and made the transfer directly into the feature event.

Taking the green flag from the 18th starting position, PPM would continue to work his way forward just as he did in heat race competition. Going wherever there was open real estate, the youngster would work his way forward with precision.

Once inside the Top-10 PPM still wasn’t done. Working his way toward the lead pack, Price-Miller would work his way past some stiff competition as he earned Hard Charger honors by way of his run from 18th to fifth.

“It wasn’t the start of the night we wanted but we really raced well and I owe it all to my guys as well as to all the other teams who came over and helped us out,” Parker Price-Miller added. “I am excited for Ohio Speedweek, and I am confident we will make some noise and have some success. Rick and Barb Rogers, and all of our partners definitely deserve some wins and we will do our best to get them a couple here this week.”

Destiny Motorsports would like to thank MonDak Portables, Ft. Union Supply and Trading, Townline Variety, Agee Farms, CSI Race Shocks, Triple X, Chalk Stix, Champion Brand Lubricants, All Star Performance, KSE Racing Products, HRP, PPM Titanium, Wilwood, Keizer Wheels, Simpson, Petersen Media, My Race Pass, Speedway Engines, FK Rod Ends, Boss Signs and Graphics, Classic Ink, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, C&H Veteran Enterprises, Hoosier Tires North, and BulterBuilt for their continued support.
