Brady Bacon Scheduled for Sprint Car Triple-Header Following Two Podium Finishes at Kokomo!

Winchester, IN | April 19, 2018 - Freshly removed from a pair of podium results at Kokomo Speedway last weekend, Brady Bacon now prepares for another busy weekend in the “Hoosier State” as he is set for a triple- header of racing action. Opening the weekend on Friday night at Brownstown Speedway’s “No Way Out 40,” Bacon will be battling for $10,000 to win in his newly-introduced BBR No. 99 entry. Carrying on over to Saturday, “The Macho Man” will leave the wings off as he competes with the USAC National Sprint Cars at Montpelier Motor Speedway. The weekend will then conclude on Sunday night with an appearance against the World of Outlaws at Haubstadt’s Tri-State Speedway.
One week removed from his Indiana season opener, Bacon is coming off a strong night at the “Kokomo Grand Prix.” Piloting the Frank Manafort Racing No. 76M Midget, and debuting his BBR No. 99 Sprint Car, Bacon pieced together a solid night while pulling double-duty for the first time in 2018. After earning a third-place result in his debut behind the wheel of his own sprint car, Bacon ensued to charge to another third-place finish in the USAC Midget feature in the FMR Midget.

“It was a really good night and it felt good just to get back to racing,” noted Bacon. “It was our first outdoor race in the midget and we were right there battling for the win. The sprint car felt great and it was a breath of fresh air to be back in a Triple-X with a package that I was comfortable with. It gave us a lot of confidence to come out first night and be competitive and hang right there with the guys we are gonna have to beat every night.”
Scheduled for a big weekend, the action will kick off on Friday night as the Winchester, Indiana resident travels over to Brownstown to contend for $10,000. Held annually at Brownstown Speedway since 2013, Bacon has made just one trip to the “No Way Out 40” since then, recording a tenth-place run at the 2014 event. A worthy test to the new Brady Bacon Racing operation, this will be just his second night behind the wheel of the No. 99 in 2018.
Continuing pursuit of his third-career USAC National Sprint Car Championship, Bacon will head to Montpelier Motor Speedway for Saturday’s appearance. The victor of the series debut at the track back in 2016, Bacon has already proven his prowess at the Montpelier, Indiana facility. Making his maiden voyage in the No. 99 under the USAC sanction this year, the Oklahoma native will be looking to improve on his Florida adventures with the series and start fresh with the Midwest swing.

Capping the weekend on Sunday night, Bacon will climb into the Bacon-Marshall Motorsports No. 99 for the first time this year as he goes head-to-head against the World of Outlaws at Tri-State Speedway. Owning an impressive track record at the Haubstadt, Indiana facility, Bacon has recorded three straight top-five finishes in WoO action at the 1/4 mile clay oval. In 2015 and 2016, he claimed back-to-back second-place results before earning quicktime honors in 2017 and taking a fifth-place run that night.
