Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (July 1, 2020) – Brian Brown is invading Knoxville Raceway on Friday and Saturday in search of two strong runs after misfortune ended the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series’ 42nd annual AGCO Jackson Nationals early last weekend.

June 25 – Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn. – Qualifying: 10; Heat race: 4 (4); Feature: 13 (14).

“We were able to qualify 10th quickest, which was good when you’re at events where every time you hit the track it’s worth points,” Brown said. “There were 44 good cars. We started fourth in our heat race, fell back to fifth and were able to get back to fourth to lock into the main event. The track was pretty top dominant in the feature. You had to get in line and make your runs count. It was a solid start to the weekend.”

June 26 – Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn. – Qualifying: 15; Heat race: 3 (3); Feature: 12 (11).

“It mirrored the first night in a way,” Brown said. “In the heat race we got the lead and then Ian (Madsen) snuck by us. On the last lap I decided wrong and got caught behind a lapped car and we ended third. If I make the right decision, that would have put us in a dash position and we could have been starting on the front row of the dash. Instead we’re starting 11th in the feature and we ran around that position all race.”

June 27 – Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn. – Qualifier: 2 (2); Feature: 22 (11).

“We finished where we started in the qualifier to put us in a decent spot going into the feature,” Brown said. “I had a decent run going and we broke a throttle, which ended our Jackson Nationals early.”

UP NEXT – Friday and Saturday at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa

“I’m looking forward to getting back to Knoxville for two nights with good pay,” Brown said. “There’s some really fast cars right now that have been on the path for a while. If you get off the path a little bit it takes a while to catch up. I feel like we’re moving in the right direction.”
