Brian Brown – Australia Bound!
Brian Brown is excited about his upcoming race trip to Australia. He’ll be piloting Craig Wormall’s Wormall Civil/Casey’s General Stores/FVP #21 for thirteen events at seven different tracks in four provinces over the course of a month.
It’s been awhile since Brian has competed in Australia. “Craig Wormall is giving me this opportunity and I couldn’t be more excited,” he says. “It’s a unique opportunity to spend our winter ‘Down Under’…not just going down there, but being able to race in top notch equipment. I think we’ll be racing fourteen or fifteen times.”
He established a relationship with the Wormall family over the past year. “Craig’s son Mitch got to come spend a month with us here last summer and he raced a few times,” says Brian. “That was fun, and for us to go over there and represent Wormall Civil, Casey’s General Stores, FVP and our other partners as well as the U.S.A. is awesome.”
Brian won’t be alone on the plane. “I’m lucky enough to be bringing Steven Tiner and Michael Williams with me to fill out the team,” he says. “We’re looking forward to getting down there to only compete, but hopefully, compete for some wins. There’s a lot of races down there with a lot of prestige. We’re ending the tour with the Classic (at Premier Speedway near Warrnambool, Victoria), which is their equivalent of the Knoxville Nationals.”
He’ll also be bringing the family. “That’s icing on the cake really,” says Brian. “Being able to take Heather and Mikala with me is something that’s special. They’ve put up with a lot over the years here that normal families don’t have to, so it’s nice to be able to take them with us and see a part of the world that they’ve never seen before. I’m just grateful for Craig and the rest of the folks and Wormall Civil for letting us do it.”
