Colin Shipley
7th place for Shipley at Oakshade
Two tracks were on the docket for Colin Shipley this weekend as Shipley Racing continued its 2023 campaign with the latest round of the Attica/Oakshade Late Model Challenge Series.
On Friday, Shipley kicked off the weekend by turning in a fourth-place qualifying effort among 23 cars at Attica Raceway Park (Attica, Ohio). Shipley finished fourth in his heat race and started sixth for the 25-Lap UMP Late Model A-Main on the 1/3-mile track. He ultimately came home in the 11th position in his Domination Race Cars No. 44S.
For the next night, the team turned its attention to Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio). With 20 Late Models registered for competition at the 3/8-mile oval, Shipley was third in his qualifying group and claimed fourth place in his heat race. He started seventh for the night’s 25-lap main event and finished in the same spot.
Shipley is currently third in the Oakshade track standings.
