Top-5 finish for Shipley at Oakshade Raceway
Colin Shipley took part in Saturday’s 34th annual Barney Oldfield Memorial at Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio), where his Shipley Racing No. 44S machine was of 18 DIRTcar Late Models competing for the $5,000 top prize.
Shipley opened the evening by setting overall quick time with a 15.469-second lap on the 3/8-mile oval. He then won his heat race from the pole position and began the main event from the fourth spot.
Shipley came home with a fifth-place finish, trailing Rusty Schlenk, Dusty Moore, Carter Murday and Casey Noonan under the checkered flag.
With the result, Shipley remains in second place in the division point standings.
