Pair of 7th-place finishes for Shipley in Ohio double dip

As has become standard in 2023, Colin Shipley and Shipley Racing kicked off their weekend on Friday evening at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. Twenty-eight Late Models were on the property at the 1/3-mile track looking to score a $2,000 payday.

Shipley drove his Jim White Honda No. 44S machine to a second-place finish in his heat, starting him fourth in the 25-lap A-Main. He came home seventh at the conclusion of the main event.

On Saturday, Shipley moved to the 3/8-mile Oakshade Raceway (Waueseon, Ohio), where 24 Late Models filled the pit area.

Shipley finished second in his heat race and once again came home seventh in the 20-lap feature, this time after starting in the fifth position. With the result, he sits second in the Oakshade track standings, just 22 markers out of first place.
