Shipley scores pair of top-5 finishes at Attica and Oakshade

Colin Shipley began a doubleheader weekend on Friday night at Attica Raceway Park (Attica, Ohio) as one of 21 entrants in the track’s Late Model class.

The Weston, Ohio, driver raced his Domination Race Cars No. 44S to a fourth-place finish in his heat and started 11th in the 25-lap A-Main. He moved forward throughout the race, gaining seven spots to finish fourth.

Shipley trailed Devin Shiels, Gregg Haskell and Casey Noonan across the line, with Justin Chance taking fifth on the 1/3-mile oval at the Attica Fairgrounds.

On Saturday, Colin and Shipley Racing moved to the 3/8-mile Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon, Ohio, where 19 DIRTcar Late Models were in the pit area.

Shipley finished as runner-up in his heat race and started on the outside of the second row for the A-Main. He picked up one position to register a third-place result behind Casey Noonan and Dusty Moore. Devin Shiels and Jake Rendel finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
