Swindell Venturing to Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – GERMANTOWN, Tenn. (Sept. 21, 2015) – Sammy Swindell is heading to Pennsylvania this weekend for a pair of races.
Swindell and CJB Motorsports will invade Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa., on Friday for a tune-up prior to the following week’s National Open at the half-mile oval before wrapping up this weekend on Saturday at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pa., for the Dirt Classic.
“We want to go in there and win both nights, but there’s a few things we want to try,” he said. “Even if you have a pretty good setup or your car is pretty close you’re always trying to come up with a little better setup than the week before.”
Swindell, who is coming off a pair of victories during the Jackson Nationals earlier this month, is seeking his 17th career sprint car win at Williams Grove Speedway.
“I think we’ve got a pretty good handle on it from when we were there this summer,” he said. “It gives us an opportunity to get better and try some things. We definitely have a good place to start. There’s a couple of things we want to try to give us a direction on cars and stuff for next year. We may be doing a little experimenting.”
Swindell and CJB Motorsports recorded results of third and fourth, respectively, during the Summer Nationals at Williams Grove Speedway in July.
“It seems like most of the time one lane is quite a bit faster than the other,” he said. “You have to be able to work the race track.”
Swindell will then return to Lincoln Speedway for the first time since May 2014.
“I’ve won there before quite a few times,” he said. “Sometimes where you go out in qualifying dictates your night. The setup is a little different than some of the other places we run because of the track configuration. It’s a neat place.”
