Landon Britt Invades Kansas for Lucas Oil ASCS Weekend

Landon Britt rolled into Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kan.) on Friday night where the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) took center stage.

Twenty-three racers were on hand for the event, and Britt registered the fifth-fastest time in his qualifying group to earn the fifth-starting spot for his heat race.

Sliding back to a seventh-place finish resulted in Landon starting 21st in the 25-lap finale. He struggled to make up ground in the finale and ultimately crossed the finish line in the 20th position.

The team invaded Caney (Kan.) Valley Speedway on Saturday night where the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour squared off against the ASCS Sooner Region competitors.

Twenty-eight drivers filled the pit area, and after qualifying fifth fastest in his time trial group, Landon finished fifth in his heat race to lock into the 15th-starting spot for the feature.

He raced around mid-pack throughout the feature before finishing 15th in the feature, which was shortened to 15 laps from the scheduled 25 laps due to rain.

Landon is eighth in the latest national series standings.
