Top-10 finish in Prairie Dirt Classic prelim feature at FALS
Kyle Steffens returned to the driver's seat of his No. 8 DIRTcar UMP Modified over the weekend as the 14th annual Prairie Dirt Classic kicked off at Fairbury (IL) Speedway.
With the field of 60 Modified invitees split into groups for showdown features on Friday, Kyle's time trial effort positioned him on the fifth row for his $500-to-win preliminary. Muscling forward two spots in the 15-lap affair, Steffens rolled to a seventh-place finish.
Steffens' bid for the $5,000-to-win Prairie Dirt Classic finale drew to an early close on Saturday with a fourth-place finish in his consolation race.
