BERNHAGEN CAPTURES UMA LATE MODEL COUNTRY PLUMBER 50

Wisconsin Dells WI 5/4/24-Willard Wisconsin’s Jesse Bernhagen won the 62nd season opening Country Plumber 50 Late model main event. Starting from the inside of row five Bernhagen worked quickly to the lead. Despite a late race charge from Hunter Stenson the 28 was just too far out and cruised to the checkers. Bernhagen was followed to the line by Stenson, Mike Lichtfeld, Jason Stark and Kevin Kulka. Jesse Bernhagen won the Diamond Racing Wheels Fast Dash while the heats were won by Mike Ehde and Franc Beldowski. Mike Lichtfeld was the fastest of 22 cars with a qualifying lap of 14.164. The Gandrud Performance Parts Late Models return to action next week May 11th as they Headline Gandrud Performance Parts night at the races.
