Mini Stock rules

Mini Stock Rules for Dec 7th:
Any front wheel drive 4 cylinder import or domestic car. No convertibles.
No Honda VTEC engines Engines with variable cam or valve timing. (may make weight penalties)
No Mazda Rotary engines.
No turbo charge or super charged engines. Stock means stock, period.
Compression ratio stock for engine used. .2 allowed for carbon.
Engine must remain stock, if rebuilt must use stock replacement… parts.
No racing bearings, rings pistons ,or , Ect.. No excessive shaving of heads allowed. O deck pistons, Cool air intakes OK
Must have exhaust past driver compartment and must have a muffler. Must remove all flammable materials.
No gutting except for door bars. Doors welded shut. 4 point cage,1 ¾ tubing with .095 wall thickness , with door bars extending all the way to the drivers door. Drivers door bars must be plated with 1/16 “ (11 gauge ) plate steel, Mandatory.
May install front support bars for safety, must turn down 6 inches past motor mount area.( mandatory to run figure 8 ) May install rear bars down to rear struts and to rear sub frame for safety( Mandatory to run figure 8 ) Aluminum racing seat and 5 point racing seat belts mandatory, must be dated and less than 2 years old from start of 2013 season. (March 2011). Lexan windshield required, no glass in car at all. Window net on driver door mandatory. Removable Steering Wheel Recommended.
Mirrors allowed, no radios.
On off battery switch properly labeled ,mandatory, must be mounted behind driver with easy access from Quarter window. Battery can be relocated behind driver , must be in secured covered battery box.
Fully functional and charged fire extinguisher mandatory.
Fire suit, helmet, racing gloves, shoes, and head & neck restraint mandatory.
Drive train and suspension OEM only, stock means stock. No cut or shaved springs. no heated springs.
Tires- with a tread wear rating of 200 only. All 4 tires must be same size, 60 series minimum any car can run. No cutting or shaving or soaking of tires allowed. Wheels will be stock steel wheels, right front can be reinforced. Stock offset only. No aluminum wheels allowed. Ride height must remain at 6“ Frame and body. Camber adjustment by shims or lower strut slots only, no drilling or moving of strut tower allowed 3 degrees negative fronts max, 1 degree negative rear max, both rears must be the same.
Total weight will be determine by liter of engine, min weight 2000 lbs., 1 lb per cc of engine, 2.0 and smaller will weigh 2000lbs, 2.1 = 2100 and so on to a 2.5 = 2500lbs. Single overhead cams will be allowed 56% left side ,Dual Overhead cams will be allowed 54 % Max left side .
No tolerance on weights.
Mufflers. Track reserves the right to add weight to individual cars to preserve competition. The original vin number must be visible , and attached to car in original location and mounting style , and must have repair manual with complete engine specs for your car at all times.( make sure it is for the engine code on your vin plate and that you have the motor to match.)
Engine size being run must match VIN code for car being used. No lite weight or custom parts in transmission. Must run stock steel flywheel and clutch, no racing components allowed. No aluminum flywheels allowed. No grinding or excessive surfacing on flywheel. Positraction and welded differentials allowed with 50 lb. penalty, location right rear trunk floor.
Computer claiming rule $100.00, must finish on the lead lap and bring cash to tech within 15 min of the end of the race.
Competitor will surrender his computer for $100.00, or be disqualified for the night, and lose points for the event. Front and rear stock bumpers preferred, may run tube bumpers, 1 ¾ tubing .095 wall, must have round corners and no uncapped ends, welds will be smooth.
Make a loop for towing on both front and rear. To keep cars looking good you may make door skins and quarter skins.
Must retain all structure. Original fenders, hoods, trunks, and roofs mandatory. Remove sunroofs and sheet metal hole.
Good luck and remember it is your responsibility to prove your parts are OEM for your car.
All Tech decisions are final. We reserve the right to change these rules as we deem necessary. If it doesn’t say to do it in the rules, don’t without checking with tech.
Any deviation of rules, or cars from other tracks, may be disqualified or be allowed to race with a weight penalty of 50 to 300 lbs to be located at techs discretion in the interest of fair competition.
Any car may be assessed a weight penalty at any time or left side weight adjusted in the interest of fair competition.
ALL RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY TIME. ALL TECH DECISIONS ARE FINAL.

These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. They are intended entirely as a guide for the conduct of the sport and in no way guarantee against injury or death to any participant, spectator or official. The race director or Head Tech Inspector shall be empowered to permit reasonable and appropriate deviation from any of the specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in their opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATIONS OR DEVIATIONS. Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials and is final and binding. On occasion when situations arise that are not covered by written rules herein, special rulings may be put into effect by the track officials. Once such rulings are acted upon, they may become an act of policy and will be added to the existing rules of procedures.
