The highly anticipated release of the 2022 schedule for 81 Speedway features a stacked special event line up, with a healthy dose of weekly racing series action to boot. Diversity was the key word when John Allen and team went to work building next season's line up both with touring late model and sprint car specials, as well as weekly racing series action.

After two rounds of open practice in March, the season kicks off on April 2nd featuring a visit from the ever popular ASCS Sooner Region Sprint Car series. The following weekend will see the first double header weekend at 81 Speedway under FOE Enterprises ownership, as the Lucas Oil MLRA Late Models roll in to town for a double header flanked both nights by the IMCA Mod Lite division.

Weekly racing series action dominates the line up from there until the URSS and OCRS Sprint Car Series re-unite for a second time to battle it out on May 21st.

June sees a different flavor each race weekend all month long as the Titans B-Mod Series returns on the 4th, the Sooner Late Models make their first of two stops on June 11th, and the 3rd USAC Border Wars event takes place on June 25th.

July features a pair of sprint car specials with the URSS making stop two of three on July 2nd, and the ASCS National Tour Sprint Week once again rolls into town on July 28th.

The 11th running of the traditional early August Thursday night USMTS modified event will see a name change this year. That event taking place on August 4th will now receive the Keeper of the Plains Shootout name as the stars of the USMTS Modified series battle for South Central Kansas supremacy.

From there the Sooner Late Models return August 13th for stop two of two, and the URSS Sprint Cars visit for the third time of the season on August 20th.

September 10th sees the revamped Super Stock division headline the show, while the 2nd Twister City Enduro has been set for October 1st.

The end of October features arguably the two biggest race weekends ever paired up to end a season at 81 Speedway. The World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series invades 81 Speedway for the first time since 2017 on October 22nd, right before the 3rd USTMS Modified Spooktacular once again crowns a USMTS Champion right here in Park City, KS.

In a breakdown of weekly racing series action, the mighty USRA Modifieds headline the season with 22 total races on the books. USRA B-Mods will hit the race track 15 times during 2022. The gladiators in the Stock Cars will see the racing surface 14 times. The Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Mod Lites all get 13 shows apiece, and Rookie Modified drivers will see the green flag 12 times throughout the year.

Of special note, each weekly racing series division will be featured in a "special" at least once throughout the year. The Mod Lite division gets theirs in the form of the double header with the MLRA while the previously mentioned Super Stock division special is set for for Sept. 10th. The remaining individual weekly racing series special event dates and all purses for such dates are yet to be announced. Both October 8th and October 15th are currently listed as "to be announced" dates as well.
