Heavy rain showers postpone Alabama Gang 100 to September
Losing Thursday's event at Thunderhill Raceway (Summertown, Tenn.), Cade Dillard started his weekend with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series on Friday afternoon at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for the Alabama Gang 100.
With 48 Super Late Models on the grounds, Dillard found himself in the second preliminary feature where he DNF'd with a 22nd-place finish.
With the $35,000-to-win main event slated for Saturday, Dillard was victorious in his heat race which earned him a fourth-row starting spot. Unfortunately, prior to the 75-lap main event, a heavy rain shower engulfed the racetrack. The event was rescheduled to September 15th.
Dillard is currently third in the World of Outlaw point standings.
