Ferguson finishes 13th in World of Outlaws prelim at TST
Friday night found Chris Ferguson in action at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for the doubleheader weekend with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series.
Aboard his Live Oak Aesthetic and Family Dentistry No. 22 Late Model, Ferguson ran into a handful of issues early in the night and went out for qualifying without brakes. Starting his preliminary feature in 24th, Ferguson was up 11 positions when a rain shower forced officials to cut the 25-lapper short on lap 16. He was scored 13th in the rundown.
On Saturday, Chris’ seventh-place outing in his heat race relegated him into a B-Main. Needing to place second or better to make the $35,000-to-win Alabama Gang 100 A-Main, Ferguson found speed late but wasn’t able to qualify for the main event.
