On double header weekend Krug finishes 6th at Shelby County, 4th at I-80

Josh Krug Racing – Omaha, Neb. (09/03/19) - Josh Krug wrapped up his double header weekend with a sixth place finish at Shelby County Speedway on Thursday night and a fourth place run at I-80 Speedway on Friday.

To open the weekend of racing, Krug made his fourth appearance of 2019 at Harlan, Iowa's Shelby County Speedway.

The evening started off with Krug setting quick time in group A Qualifying with a time of 18.398.

With the invert, Krug started sixth in his heat race but was not able to advance any positions.

His sixth place finish in his heat put him 11th on the starting grid for the night's A Feature.

During the 25 lap feature, Krug was able to move up five spots for a sixth place run. It was his 11th top ten of the season.

On Friday night, the team headed west to I-80 Speedway to wrap up the 2019 NASCAR weekly racing points standings.

Krug headed into the evening fifth in the Cubby's Convenient Store Super Late Model points standings, only one point behind Omaha's Ben Schaller for fourth.

Krug was again unable to advance any spots from his fourth place starting spot during his heat race.

In the evening's A Feature, Krug rolled out fourth and came home in the same position. It was his fourth top 5 of the season.

Schaller won Friday night's Feature, officially putting Krug fifth in the final points standings at I-80 Speedway.

The team will head to Eagle Raceway with the Malvern Bank Super Late Models for the Nebraska Cup on Sept. 8.
