Kemenah Finishes Second At Fremont; Ready For All Star Showdown In PA

Chad Kemenah was back at the Fremont Raceway on Saturday night hoping to get things back on track, and the Alvada, Ohio driver did just that.

Kemenah started the 30-Lap feature on the pole but Christopher Bell jumped out to the early lead with Kemenah running in second place. Kemenah was able to put together a solid feature by working the entire 1/3 mile track and that allowed him to slowly gain on the race leader.

With only a handful of laps remaining Kemenah started to gain ground on the race leader and Craig Mintz was right there to capitalize if a mistake was made. Kemenah would hold off Mintz to finish second and the end results was exactly what the entire No.63 Team needed.

“What a difference a week can make, last time we were here we were so bad and no matter what we did to the car nothing changed,” said Kemenah. “AJ Havens and I built a brand new race this past week and it feels great. We had an excellent car tonight I was able to work the cushion and gain on Christopher there towards the end but we ran out of laps, his car was working well from start to finish and we will take this second place finish and get ready for next weekend.”

This Friday and Saturday night Chad Kemenah and the rest of the All Star Series will invade the Keystone State of Pennsylvania to take on the “PA Posse” for the first time in 2014.

Friday night Kemenah will be at the legendary Williams Grove Speedway located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Kemenah has never won a feature at the famous half mile but he has had some solid races at the facility over the years.

“Williams Grove is one of the toughest places to race in the entire country,” says Kemenah. “Anytime I have raced there in my career it’s been tough and it will always be tough but they can be beaten if everything falls into place at the right time. AJ and I are really looking forward to racing this weekend and hopefully we can make the right decisions and cross the finish line first.”

On Saturday night Kemenah will be racing at the new and improved Port Royal Speedway for the Bob Weikert Memorial Race. The Weikert Memorial Race has become one of the most prized races to win in Pennsylvania over the years and last years winner took home over $12,000.

“I have heard some excellent things about the improvements to the Port Royal Speedway and I am anxious to race on the new racing surface there,” said Kemenah. “Port Royal has always been a fast place and I have not raced there since 2009 so it should be fun. Bob Weikert did a lot for the sport of sprint car racing, his No.29 cars were always fast and tough to beat no matter where they raced. It would be an honor to win the Weikert Memorial race and we are going to give it everything we got that’s for sure.”
