Sprint Invader Series, Knoxville
5/22/2007 - Kaley Gharst – Friday night started off pretty good with the Sprint Invader Series at Morgan County Speedway. Winning the Heat race and the Shake-up Dash. Kaley was set to start on the pole for the feature. Then during the B-Main tragedy struck when a sprint car went into the pit/stand area injuring 5 people. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the injured people and their families. The officials cancelled the remaining events for the evening.
Saturday took us to Knoxville for our weekly who on the famous half mile. Saturday started out in the same fashion. Winning the heat race and then we started 10th in the A-Main. Kaley drove his way to a 4th place finish. So far this season the 18 year old from Decatur, IL. has put together a string of impressive top 5 finishes and with that it was another great weekend of racing for the Tri-Star Motorsports/Maxim team.
